RICHMOND, Va. (April 24, 2023) – The CAA has announced its 11th men’s lacrosse weekly awards for the 2023 season. Towson graduate midfielder Kyle Berkeley and Stony Brook senior attackman Dylan Pallotnetti shared CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, and Delaware redshirt senior defender Owen Grant collected CAA Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the second straight week. In addition, Towson freshman Mikey Weisshaar was named CAA Rookie of the Week. 
   
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Berkeley, Towson
Graduate | Midfield | Dunkirk, Md. / The Calverton School
Berkeley tallied six points on five goals and one assist, leading Towson to its third straight CAA victory with a 15-11 win over Monmouth. The graduate midfielder notched a first-half hat trick before adding an assist and two goals after the break. The five scores mark a career-high for Berkeley, who matched his career-best with six points. Berkely has scored in 11 games this spring, including five in a row, and registered three hat tricks. 
 
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dylan Pallonetti, Stony Brook

Pallonetti recorded a game-high six points on five goals and one assist to lead Stony Brook past Fairfield 17-14 in CAA action. The senior attackman netted a hat trick in the first quarter, helping the Seawolves to an early lead, and added two goals and an assist in the final 15:32 to secure the victory for Stony Brook. Pallonetti extended his goal-scoring streak to 41 games, which ranks first in the NCAA. In addition, he ranks fifth nationally with 45 goals and seventh in points (63).  
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Owen Grant, Delaware

Grant had season highs with five caused turnovers and five ground balls to help Delaware clinch the CAA Regular Season title outright with an 18-13 win over Drexel. Grant caused two turnovers in the second quarter as the Blue Hen defensive unit held Drexel to one score in the period, turning a one-goal deficit into a two-goal halftime lead. The redshirt senior defender has three or more caused turnovers in seven games this season, including five of the past six. Grant ranks sixth in the NCAA with 2.31 caused turnovers per game. 
      
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mikey Weisshaar, Towson
Freshman | Attack | Arnold, Md. / Archbishop Spalding HS  
Weisshaar matched his season-high with four points on three goals and one assist, helping Towson win 15-11 over Monmouth. The freshman capped off a 5-0 run to begin the game for the Tigers, adding two goals in the second half, the latter giving Towson its largest lead (13-6), and one helper. Weisshaar has found the back of the net in seven of the past eight games, including six straight, while Saturday was his second hat trick this spring.
