RICHMOND, Va. (April 7, 2023) – Matchups at the top of the CAA Lacrosse and Baseball standings highlight a key weekend for tournament positioning around the league.
Men’s Lacrosse
Three teams are 3-0 in conference play, and two go head-to-head this weekend. On Saturday, Drexel hosts Stony Brook at 2 p.m. on Lacrosse TV. The Dragons opened CAA play 3-0 for the first time since 2013, while the Seawolves won their first three league games in their inaugural CAA season. It should provide an action-packed matchup, with Stony Brook ranking second in the league in goals and points per game and Drexel third in both categories.
In addition, Delaware will look to remain perfect in league play, hosting Fairfield at noon (FloLive). Simultaneously, a pair of conference newcomers searching for their first-ever CAA wins will battle as Hampton entertains Monmouth (FloLive). The day concludes at 3 p.m., with the competitive conference rivalry featuring Towson visiting Hofstra (FloLive). The teams have split the past six games in the all-time series, with no team winning back-to-back matchups since Towson in 2016 and 2017. |
