CAA Rowing Weekly Awards – May 2

RICHMOND, Va. (May 2, 2023) – The CAA has announced its weekly rowing awards for the fifth time during the 2023 season. The Northeastern First Varsity Eight claimed CAA Boat of the Week honors for its performance last week.
BOAT OF THE WEEK
Northeastern First Varsity Eight
Northeastern had a solid showing at Eastern Sprints, advancing to the Grand Final of the 16-team event, featuring six teams ranked or receiving votes in the Pocock CRCA National Poll. The crew, consisting of Camille Arnold-Mages (cox), Charlotte Kershaw (stroke), Firinne Rolfe (7), Victoria Thibeault (6), Lucy Climer-Kennedy (5), Ellexi Fulton (4), Grace O'Connor (3), Isla Bathgate (2) and Jordan Hillyard (bow) advanced to the Grand Final with their season-best time of 6:27.33 ahead of a Boston University team receiving votes in the national poll and only behind No. 5 Brown. In the grand final, the Huskies posted a time of 6:33.48, competing against a field of five nationally ranked adversaries.
