The Weekend Preview – Aug. 17, 2023

RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 17, 2023) – The 2023-24 college sports season begins this weekend with 26 women’s soccer games around the CAA.
 
Women’s Soccer
All 13 CAA women’s soccer teams will play twice this weekend with 11 games Thursday, two Friday, and 13 Sunday. Six teams will open at home, including four Thursday. Delaware kicks off the season by hosting Syracuse (6 p.m., FloFC), Stony Brook welcomes UMass (6:31 p.m., FloFC), Charleston gets a visit from USC Upstate (7 p.m., FloFC), and Drexel takes on Fordham (7 p.m., FloFC). Towson (at La Salle), Hofstra (UAlbany), Campbell (High Point), Elon (Howard), William & Mary (Temple), UNCW (Coastal Carolina) and Northeastern (Xavier, 7 p.m., FloFC) open on the road Thursday night.
 
Hampton hosts Robert Morris (2 p.m.) and preseason favorite Monmouth welcomes Lehigh (6 p.m., FloFC) on Friday before all 13 teams play on Sunday in a schedule highlighted by Drexel’s visit to No. 14 Pitt (1 p.m., ACC Network) and Hofstra’s trip to Rutgers (7 p.m., BTN+). Six teams will play at home Sunday with Charleston hosting Utah (1 p.m., FloFC), Stony Brook clashing with Bryant (1 p.m., FloFC), UNCW hosting VCU (1 p.m., FloFC), Hampton taking on USC Upstate (5 p.m.), Towson facing Howard (6 p.m., FloFC), and Elon squaring off with Wofford (6:30 p.m., FloFC). William & Mary will stay in Philadelphia to face Saint Joseph’s, Delaware travels to Liberty, Northeastern is at Holy Cross, and Campbell at Old Dominion. | Weekend Schedule
