Walker Isley are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending September 12.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Mallory Fobes, UNCW
Redshirt Senior | East Bend, N.C. / Forbush
Fobes won the Golfweek Fall Challenge and propelled UNCW to a team title in the Seahawks’s season-opening tournament at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in South Carolina. The fifth-year from North Carolina went 72-68-69 (-4) as the Seahawks won a tournament against a field that included CAA members Campbell and Delaware.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Walker Isley, UNCW
Senior | Oak Island, N.C. / South Brunswick
Isley finished second – one shot behind the medalist – to lead three Seahawks in the top 10 as UNCW won the team title at the Gopher Invitational in Minnesota. Isley carded a 69-67-70 (-7) at the par-71 Windsong Farm Golf Club to propel UNCW past a group that included Kansas, Marquette, Northwestern, and host Minnesota in the top five.
