CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Oct. 15

RICHMOND, Va. (October 15, 2024) – William & Mary sophomore Aiden Bond received CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors, while Towson junior Aidan Clark was selected as the Men’s Diver of the Week. William & Mary junior Lindsay Juhlin earned CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week accolades, and Towson junior Shannon Parrau was chosen as the Women’s Diver of the Week.
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Aiden Bond, So., William & Mary (McLean, Va.)
Bond recorded first-place finishes in two individual events and a relay at the Navy Tri-Meet last Saturday. The sophomore tied for the top spot in the 50 free with a time of 20.61 and took first in the 100 free with a time of 45.36. He also swam the second leg on the Tribe’s winning 400 freestyle relay team as they touched the wall in 3:02.90.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Lindsay Juhlin, Jr., William & Mary (Washington, D.C.)
Juhlin posted two first-place finishes and a relay victory as William & Mary went 1-1 at the Navy Tri-Meet last Saturday. The junior won the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.09 and took the top spot in the 100 breast with a time of 55.38. She also swam the butterfly leg for the Tribe’s 200 medley relay team that had a winning time of 1:42.57.
CAA Men’s Diver of the Week
Aidan Clark, Jr., Towson (Ellicott City, Md.)
Clark had several strong performances for Towson in a pair of meets last week. At La Salle, the junior finished second on the 1-meter board with a score of 292.95 and placed fourth on the 3-meter board with a score of 274.35. Against Seton Hall, Clark had a 3
rd-place effort in the 1-meter competition with a score of 243.98 and was fourth in the 3-meter competition with a score of 238.35.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Shannon Parrau, Jr., Towson (Germantown, Md.)
Parrau won all four events during Towson’s meets with La Salle and Seton Hall last week. Against La Salle, the junior captured the 1-meter dive with a score of 290.63 and claimed the 3-meter competition with a score of 275.85. She continued her success against Seton Hall, posting a winning score of 235.95 on the 1-meter board and a score of 238.80 on the 3-meter board.
