Six CAA Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes Named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2024) – Drexel graduate student Dominick Bachstein, Elon midfielder Scott Vatne, Hofstra graduate student, Jacob Woznicki, Monmouth redshirt junior Eryk Dymora, Charleston senior Leonardo D’Ambrosio, and Elon graduate student Victor Stromsten have been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 for the 2024 season.
 
Bachstein ranked the highest of any CAA student-athlete, placing No. 52. The graduate student forward has tallied 23 points with nine goals and five assists, with his most prolific performance coming against Hofstra on Oct. 5 where he tallied two goals and two assists.The week’s performance earned him CAA Offensive Player of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week honors.
 
Vatne is No. 62 on the national list, after placing No. 69 on the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Top 100.  Vatne sits 25th in the nation in total assists, tallying six, and was recognized as CAA Offensive Player of the Week on September 2.
 
Woznicki’s first season in Hempstead has proven to be an instant success, with the Connecticut native placing No. 63 on Top Drawer Soccer’s rankings. Woznicki leads Hofstra in goals this season, netting seven bookmarked by a two-tally performance against Providence on Aug. 29.
 
Dymora placed No. 81 on the list, coming in as the CAA’s only goalkeeper to be ranked. The New Jersey native has led the Hawks to an undefeated start to conference play, earning CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 14. Dymora ranks first in the nation in save percentage (0.862) and second in shutouts (7).
 
D’Ambrosio earned the No. 87 spot after a prolific start to the season in front of goal. The Italian forward began the season in a rich vein of form, tallying 17 points in his first nine games, including a five-point performance against Stony Brook to earn him CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on September 16.
 
Stromsten came in at No. 98, notching three goals and six assists in 2024. The graduate student forward kicked his season off on the right foot, tallying a hat trick in his second appearance against Radford, and earning CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors on September 2.
