Drue Nicholas are the CAA Golfers of the Week for tournaments completed between October 16-22.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Mira Berglund, Campbell
Sophomore | Oernskoeldsvik, Sweden / Celsiusskolan
Berglund won her first collegiate title, and Campbell tied with host Tennessee for second place in the team standings at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate. The sophomore from Sweden fired a collegiate-low, 5-under par 66, followed by a 2-under 69 to finish at 6-under (72-66-69). She made just one bogey (and 10 birdies) over her last 40 holes to close out a three-shot win over teammate Alicia Olsson.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Alisa Khokhlova, Delaware
Senior | Moscow, Russia / Barcelona Golf Academy [Spain]
Khokhlova defended her title at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational to win the event for the second-straight year. The senior from Russia fired a 5-under 211 (74-66-71), turning in the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history to tie her own performance at the Pinetree Collegiate two seasons ago. The second-round 6-under 66 was a career-low and the third-best round in Delaware history.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Drue Nicholas, Drexel
Graduate Student | Egg Harbor Township, N.J. / St. Augustine
Nicholas was 8-under to finish second at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate in North Carolina. The grad student from South Jersey shot under par in each round (69-68-68) to help Drexel to a second-place finish. The performance finishes a remarkable run for Nicholas at the event, finishing in the top two in all four years with two individual titles and a 33-under par showing over 12 rounds at Kilmarlic.
