CAA Cross Country Weekly Awards - Oct. 8

RICHMOND, Va. (October 8, 2024) – Northeastern graduate student Abigail Hassman and William & Mary sophomore Hayes Trapp earned CAA cross country weekly accolades following strong performances in competitive races.
 
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Abigail Hassman, Northeastern
Graduate | Foxborough, Mass.
Hassman placed third in a field of 371 runners in the 6K Gold Race at the Paul Short Run last Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. The grad student completed the race in a time of 20:01.5 and helped lead the Huskies to a fifth-place team finish.
 
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Hayes Trapp, William & Mary
Sophomore | Aiken, S.C.
Trapp finished third in a field of 215 runners at the ECU Pirate XC Invitational last Friday in Greenville, N.C. The sophomore completed the 8K course in a time of 23:45.8 to help the Tribe capture the team championship over #14 regionally ranked George Mason.
