CAA Swimming Weekly Awards - Nov. 12

RICHMOND, Va. (November 12, 2024) – Monmouth junior Owen Dyson received CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors after winning four events in the Hawks’ victory over Manhattan and Campbell junior Arabella Butera was chosen as the CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week after recording four top-two finishes in the Camels’ meet against Liberty.
 
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Owen Dyson, Jr., Monmouth (Vienna, Va.)
 
Dyson recorded two individual victories and was a member of a pair of winning relay teams in Monmouth’s 208-46 victory over Manhattan. The junior captured the 100 back with a time of 52.03 and claimed the top spot in the 100 free with a time of 47.22. He was also part of the Hawks’ first place teams in the 200 medley relay (1:35.09) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.50).
 
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Arabella Butera, Jr., Campbell (Red Lion, Pa.)
Butera captured two individual events and posted two second-place finishes in Campbell’s meet against Liberty last Saturday. The junior won the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.92 and claimed the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.88. She also contributed a second-place effort in the 200 breast (2:28.89) and was part of the Camels’ second-place 200 medley relay team (1:46.64).
