INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 18, 2024) – CAA Men’s Soccer champion Hofstra received the No. 7 national seed - its highest ever - and a first-round bye in the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship as the field was announced on Monday afternoon. The Pride will host the winner of Vermont and Iona at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 24 in second-round action.

Hofstra (14-4-2) became the first team to win four consecutive CAA titles after defeating UNCW 1-0 last Saturday night. Laurie Goddard was named the championship’s Most Outstanding Player after notching three goals en route to the Pride’s eighth CAA title in program history. The Championship ties William & Mary and James Madison for the most in CAA men's soccer history.

This will be the Pride’s ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and fifth in the last 10 years. Hofstra has advanced to third round of the tournament in two of the past three seasons. It’s the second straight year that the Pride has received a national seed and a first-round bye.
