CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Nov. 19

RICHMOND, Va. (November 19, 2024) - Stony Brook swept the CAA weekly swimming and diving awards as freshman Francesca Baber was chosen as the Women's Swimmer of the Week and graduate student Sara DiStefano was selected as the Women's Diver of the Week.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Francesca Baber, Fr., Stony Brook (Bedford, United Kingdom)
Baber contributed two first-place individual finishes along with a second and third-place performance in Stony Brook’s meet against Siena. The freshman won the 1,000 free by 16 seconds with a time of 10:42.46 and took the top spot in the 500 free with a time of 5:12.11. She also placed second in the 200 fly (2:17.45) and was part of the Seawolves’ third place 200 free relay team.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Sara DiStefano, Gr., Stony Brook (Staten Island, N.Y.)
Butera recorded a pair of top two finishes in Stony Brook’s meet at Siena last Saturday. The graduate student captured the 1-meter competition with 248.40 points and placed second on the 3-meter board with 244.20 points.
