RICHMOND, Va. (November 20, 2024) – Four different schools were represented among the five major CAA volleyball postseason awards that were announced on Wednesday afternoon. The awards were voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches.

Towson senior outside hitter Victoria Barrett was selected as the CAA Player of the Year, Delaware graduate Lily Rogers was chosen as the CAA Setter of the Year and Charleston senior libero Tynley Smeltzer was tabbed as the CAA Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season. North Carolina A&T received the other two major awards as freshman outside hitter Tyne Ross earned CAA Rookie of the Year honors and Hal Clifton received Coach of the Year accolades.

Barrett ranked second in the CAA with 4.13 kills per set while hitting .261, which was 10th-best in the conference. She also contributed in many other areas, averaging 2.33 digs per set, making 66 blocks and tallying 35 service aces. It’s the second straight season that Towson has had the CAA Player of the Year.
