Four CAA Student-Athletes Named to NFHCA Division I Senior Team

MANAHAWKIN, NJ (Nov. 21, 2024) – Four CAA Field Hockey student-athletes were named to the 2024 Division I Senior Team announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Thursday morning.
Four schools had players recognized with Drexel midfielder
Liz Chipman, Monmouth forward/ midfielder
Jess Tucker, Northeastern defender/midfielder
Lauren Rowe, and William and Mary goalkeeper
Maddie George all being selected. The list not only reflects performances throughout the season but also impacts on and off the field.
Chipman was ever present in the Dragons’ midfield recording 1165 minutes of action and contributing to four consecutive weeks in the national rankings to end the season. Her lone point came in the regular season finale, with an assist.
Tucker’s fourth season in West Long Branch was her best yet, netting a team and career-high 10 goals, and tacking on seven assists en route to Monmouth making its second consecutive CAA Championship game.
Rowe tallied 30 or more points for the third time in her career, posting 10 goals and 11 assists in a season that saw Northeastern piece together a nine-game win streak at the backend of the season.
George set the pace for goalkeepers nationwide, posting 10.08 saves per game. The mark pushed her to first in the conference and second in the nation. The Tribe’s shot-stopper now ranks fifth all-time in William and Mary history with 352 career saves.
