All Five Ranked CAA Football Teams Move Up In Latest FCS Top 25 Polls

RICHMOND, Va. (November 4, 2024) –All five CAA Football teams ranked in the FCS Top 25 moved up in the latest polls released by Stats Perform and the AFCA on Monday. The five CAA teams in the Stats poll are tied with the Missouri Valley for the most squads of any conference.
 
Rhode Island (8-1) vaulted to #10 in the AFCA poll and #11 in the Stats poll after pushing its win streak to seven with a 37-28 victory over Monmouth last week. The Rams, who have achieved their highest national ranking since 2001, travel to Delaware on Saturday.
 
Villanova (7-2) climbed to #11 in the AFCA rankings and #12 in the Stats rankings following a 20-14 victory at Hampton last Saturday. The Wildcats return home to play North Carolina A&T this Saturday.
 
Richmond (7-2) moved up to #9 in the AFCA poll and #13 in the Stats poll after getting past Towson, 35-24, last Saturday for its seventh consecutive win. The Spiders are on the road at Campbell this week.
 
Stony Brook (7-2) jumped to #17 in the Stats rankings and #18 in the AFCA rankings after edging Bryant, 31-30 in overtime, last Saturday. The Seawolves entertain UAlbany in the Battle for the Golden Apple this week.
 
William & Mary (6-3) rose to #20 in the Stats poll and #21 in the AFCA poll following a 45-7 triumph over North Carolina A&T. The Tribe hosts Elon on Saturday.
 
Hampton (5-4) is ranked #8 in the HBCU FCS Coaches Poll. The Pirates travel to Towson on Saturday.
