PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cruz Davis | Hofstra
 
Davis filled the stat sheet, averaging 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.7 steals to help lead Hofstra to a 2-1 record at the Baha Mar Hoops: Nassau Championship. The sophomore contributed a game-high 22 points, a career-best eight rebounds, three assists and three steals as the Pride edged Rice, 68-63, in overtime. In a buzzer-beating 68-66 triumph over Arkansas State, he tallied a career-high 24 points, five boards and three steals.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Izaiah Pasha | Delaware
 
Pasha repeats as Rookie of the Week after scoring 15 points on 7-of-10 FG shooting and adding six rebounds and three assists in a 72-66 road victory at Rider. It was the third straight double-digit outing of the season for Pasha, who scored four straight points to help break the game open in the second half. He’s averaging 11.0 ppg.
 
DECK THE HALL
Abdi Bashir, Jr. drained 6-of-9 threes and poured in a team-high 28 points to lead Monmouth past Seton Hall, 63-51, last Saturday. It was the Hawks' second win ever over a Big East opponent and the second victory by a CAA team over the Pirates this season. Hofstra edged Seton Hall, 49-48, on Nov. 13.
 
CONFERENCE OPENER
Conference play in the CAA gets underway on Tuesday night as North Carolina A&T visits Hampton. The Aggies are off to a 3-4 start, while the Pirates are 3-5. It's the only conference matchup on the schedule until a seven-game slate of league games on January 2.
 
ENJOYING LIFE ON THE ROAD
Elon concluded a six-game road swing on Sunday with a 4-2 record, which included an 84-77 victory at Notre Dame on Nov. 22, and a 2-1 mark at the Cathedral Classic in Philadelphia. Nick Dorn tallied 24 points against the Irish as Elon beat an ACC team for the first time since 2005. TK Simpkins earned all-tournament honors at the Cathedral Classic after averaging 17.7 ppg. Elon already has three true road wins this season, matching its total from the past five seasons combined.
 
BUZZER BEATER IN THE BAHAMAS
Hofstra closed the Baha Mar Hoops Championship on Sunday with a thrilling 68-66 win over Sun Belt preseason favorite Arkansas State. Michael Graham, who posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, hit a game-winning reverse layup at the buzzer as the Pride won two-of-three to move to 6-3 on the season.
 
NEWBY SHINES AT LIVE OAK TOURNEY
UNCW went 2-1 at the Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic last weekend, closing with wins over Sam Houston State and Appalachian State. Donovan Newby was the Seahawks' leading scorer in all three tournament contests, averaging 16.0 ppg.
 
WELCOME HOME
Campbell picked up a 72-66 win at Green Bay last Saturday. Wisconsin native Jason Sinani scored a team-high 22 points for the Camels, which was his third 20-point effort in the past four games.
 
Campbell
 
•Jason Sinani made three treys and scored a team-high 22 points at Green Bay. It was his fifth double-digit effort in the past six games and he leads the Camels with 14.0 ppg.
 
•Bragi Gudmundsson and Colby Duggan combined for 21 points off the bench in the victory over Green Bay.
 
Charleston
 
•Ante Brzovic recorded his 11th career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds vs. Northern Kentucky. He ranks 19th nationally in scoring at 21.0 ppg.
 
•Derrin Boyd poured in a season-high 22 points vs. Northern Kentucky, draining 5-of-7 from 3-point range.
 
Delaware
 
•Four Blue Hens scored double figures in the win over Rider, led by Cavan Reilly with 18 points and four assists. Reilly is averaging 18.5 ppg over his past four games.
 
•Delaware is 18-1 over the past two seasons when holding its opponent under 70 points.
 
Drexel
 
•             Drexel went 2-1 in the Sunshine Slam, beating Fordham and Chicago State. Kobe MaGee poured in a team-high 23 points vs. CSU and has scored double figures in all eight games this season.
 
• The Dragons shot 51% from the floor and were 10-of-11 at the FT line in the Fordham win. Jason Drake led a balanced scoring effort with 15 points.
 
Elon
 
•             TK Simpkins earned All-Tournament honors at the Cathedral Classic after averaging 17.7 ppg over three games. He scored a team-best 21 points against Maine and followed with 20 points vs. Navy.
 
•             Nick Dorn drained six treys and tallied a team-best 21 points as Elon topped Navy on Saturday. Dorn is shooting 41.5% from beyond the arc.
 
Hampton
 
• Hampton went 1-2 at the Cayman Islands Classic, beating Duquesne (64-59) last Monday behind 24 points from Noah Farrakhan, who earned all-tournament accolades.
 
• George Beale, Jr. came off the bench to score a team-best 17 points in a narrow setback to High Point on Tuesday. It was his 6th double-digit outing in 8 games.
 
Hofstra
 
• Cruz Davis scored 22 points, including seven in overtime, as Hofstra battled past Rice on Friday and then followed with a career-high 24 points in a win over Arkansas State on Sunday.
 
• Michael Graham posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds vs. ASU, including the game-winner at the buzzer.
 
Monmouth

• Jaret Valencia just missed a double-double at Seton Hall with 11 points and a team-high 9 rebounds. He added four blocked shots.

•Ryan Forrest tallied a team-high 25 points in Friday's setback at East Carolina. He's tied for the CAA lead in scoring at 21.0 ppg.
 
•Landon Glasper made six treys and scored 29 points in a 1-point setback at Buffalo. He has reached double figure in all seven games this season.
 
UNCW
 
• Donovan Newby hit four treys and tallied 19 points in the win over Sam Houston and followed with a team-high 16 points vs. Appalachian State. He's led UNCW in scoring five times.
 
• Bo Montgomery came off the bench to contribute 17 points in the win over Sam Houston and had seven points and eight boards against ASU.
 
Northeastern
 
•Rashad King tied a season-high wih 27 points and added 7 rebounds in the setback at Vermont. It was his sixth double-digit in outing in eight games.
 
• Youri Fritz nearly posted a double-double off the bench at Vermont with nine points and a team-best 10 rebounds.
 
Stony Brook
 
• Joe Octave poured in a season-high 24 points against Brown and followed with a team-best 17 points vs. Norfolk State. He's scored double digits in seven of SBU's eight games.
 
• Andre Snoddy recorded a double-double against Norfolk State with 13 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
 
Towson
 
• Dylan Williamson hit 4-of-7 threes and scored a team-high 21 points against Kent State and followed with 15 points vs. Kennesaw State. He's averaging a team-best 14.7 ppg and shooting 45.1% from beyond the arc.
 
• Mekhi Lowery posted Towson's first double-double of the season vs. Kennesaw with 14 points and 12 boards.
 
William & Mary
 
• Noah Collier poured in a career-high 25 points at NC State and followed with 19 points and 8 boards at Appalachian State. He's averaging a team-high 14.1 ppg while shooting 64.6% from the floor.
 
• W&M has dropped two games (Winthrop and ASU) on shots at the buzzer and three of its five losses are by three points or less.
