Four CAA Soccer Players Selected As Scholar All-Americans

RICHMOND, Va. (December 20, 2024) – Two men’s and two women’s soccer players from the CAA were selected to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America team.
Hofstra graduate midfielder
Roc Carles made the men’s Scholar All-America first team, while Pride senior midfielder
Teddy Baker was a second-team honoree.
Chosen to the women’s Scholar All-America second team were Stony Brook junior midfielder
Linn Beck and Hofstra junior midfielder
Millie Davies.
Carles owns a 3.95 grade point average while majoring in finance. A First Team All-Atlantic Region and Third Team All-CAA selection this past season, Carles started 20 games for the Pride and scored two goals to go along with a career-best four assists. Carles was also an All-CAA Championship selection.
Baker is a management major with a 3.48 grade point average. A Second Team All-Atlantic Region pick and a Third Team All-CAA selection, Baker had six goals and five assists for 17 points in 17 games this past season.
Beck has achieved a 3.93 grade point average while majoring in psychology. The CAA Midfielder of the Year and first-team all-conference selection finished the season with 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. She was named the Most Outstanding Player at the CAA Women’s Soccer Championship after scoring the game-winning goal in the title match and was a second team All-East Region honoree.
Davies majors in sports management and owns a 3.43 grade point average. A Second Team All-East Region selection this past season, Davies led the Pride in scoring with 19 points on seven goals and five assists. EShe was also a First Team All-CAA selection and earned All-CAA Championship Team honors.
