NEW YORK (Dec. 20, 2023) - Hofstra graduate student forward Jacob Woznicki was selected in the second round (60th overall) of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft by this season’s MLS  Cup Champions, LA Galaxy.

The Connecticut native played a pivotal role in helping Hofstra earn its fourth consecutive CAA title, earning a share of the team high in goals (9) and assists (5). Woznicki took home All-Atlantic Region first team honors alongside an All-CAA First Team selection for the 2024 campaign. Prior to Hofstra, the graduate student played four years at Stonehill College, captaining the NEC program and netting 19 goals in 50 games.

Woznicki becomes the eighth  Hofstra men's soccer student-athlete to be chosen in the MLS Draft, joining Gary Flood (2007), Michael Todd (2007), Joseph Holland (2017), Sean Nealis (2019), Matthew Vowinkel (2021), Ryan Carmichael (2024), and Eliot Goldthorp (2024).
