Three CAA Football Standouts Selected To Prestigious FCS ADA All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. (December 23, 2024) – Three CAA Football standouts were named to the prestigious FCS ADA All-America team on Monday.
Honored were Towson senior tight end
Carter Runyon, William & Mary senior offensive lineman
Charles Grant and Elon junior punter
Jeff Yurk.
The 12
th annual award recognizes the top student-athletes from FCS institutions across 11 different positions. Voting was conducted by a national panel consisting of media and sports information directors.
Runyon led all CAA tight ends with 45 receptions for 502 yards and 5 TD’s in 2024. In two seasons with the Tigers, he recorded 1,051 receiving yards and 9 TD’s. Grant allowed just one sack in 368 pass blocking snaps this season and cleared the way for a W&M rushing attack that ranked fourth nationally with 232.8 yards per game. Yurk topped FCS in punting with 47.9-yard average, which included 26 punts of 50+ yards and 19 kicks downed inside the 20.
From the 12 All-America Team honorees, an Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year will be announced in the days preceding the FCS National Championship Game. The Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year recipients will be recognized at the FCS national championship contest in Frisco, Texas.
