The Streaks Continue
 
After an 0-6 start to the season, Monmouth heads into conference play on a five-game win streak, recently defeating Patriot League opponent American. “This team has stuck together. They have showed up to work every single day, and I do think this is a result of the hard work they are putting in,” said Head Coach Cait Wetmore. The Hawks close out non-conference play 5-6 overall, are 4-1 at home, and boast a perfect 4-0 record in the month of December.
 
Stony Brook has won two games on the bounce, defeating Georgian Court and Ivy League foe Cornell to move to 5-6 in the early season. Zaida Gonzalez led the way for the Seawolves against Cornell with a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds, while defense headlined Stony Brook’s game against Georgian Court, with the Seawolves holding Georgian Court to 25.5 percent from the field and 17 percent from three on 18 attempts. 
 
Moving up the Ranks
 
With four three-pointers against Bucknell, Hofstra’s Emma Von Essen breaks into the top-six of Hofstra’s three-point shooters, with 165 in her career. The junior is shooting a conference-best 34.1% from behind the arc and has made 31 this season.

Double Trouble
 
Combining for two CAA Player of the Week honors, Charleston sophomores Taryn and Taylor Barbot have played pivotal roles in the Cougars early success this season. CAA Preseason Player of the Year Taryn Barbot averages 16.0 ppg, which is good for third in the conference, and has reached double-digits in eight of her 11 contests. Taylor, the most recent CAA Player of the Week recipient, sits 15th in the conference and second on the team with 12.2 ppg, alongside a team-high 53 total assists this season. 

TEAM NOTES
 
Campbell
Freshman Olivia Tucker is having an impressive rookie campaign leading the team with 11.1 ppg on a .341 shooting clip.
 
Charleston
Charleston earned its first Power Four win since 2009 against Northwestern.
 
Delaware
Three Blue Hens are in  double-digits for scoring this season: Ande’a Cherisier (11.3), Tara Cousins (10.9), and Rebecca Demeke (10.3).
 
Drexel
Amaris Baker leads the conference in scoring, averaging 17.8 ppg across nine games.

Elon
Ava Leroux made her season debut against Long Beach State, scoring 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting.
 
Hampton
Jasha Clinton scored a season-high 24 points against George Washington and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the FIU Christmas Classic.
 
Hofstra
Hofstra outscored Bucknell, 32-12, in the paint, and finished with 18 bench points to Bucknell’s 14.
 
Monmouth
Monmouth hit a season-high eight three-pointers on 27 attempts, also a season-high against American. 

N.C. A&T
Chaniya Clark scored a season-high 14 points and contributed six rebounds against IU Indy.
 
UNCW
Ali Zelaya sits second in the conference with 9.3 rpg, tallying seven or more boards in her last 10 games.

Northeastern
Yirsy Queliz and Natalie Larranaga were the lone Huskies against Holy Cross to hit double digits, scoring 15 and 14 points respectively.

Stony Brook
Stony Brook had a dominant defensive display, holding Cornell to 0 percent from beyond the arc on 13 attempts.


Towson
Towson is shooting 38.9% from the field, putting the Tigers in the top-five in the conference.

William & Mary
Three players average seven or more points per game for the Tribe: Bella Nascimento (12.9), Cassidy Geddes (7.7), and Natalie Fox (7.0).
