RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 22, 2024) – The final weekend of February includes numerous matchups with ranked opponents in baseball, softball, lacrosse, and tennis, plus two CAA Championships in New York and a handful of golf tournaments in the Southeast and Southwest.
 
Indoor Track & Field
The 2024 CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships get underway Thursday at The Armory in New York City. For more information, visit caasports.com/ITF.  
 
Baseball | Schedule
It’s another busy weekend on the diamond with all 12 teams playing multiple games. North Carolina A&T, which is off to a 4-0 start, travels to Vero Beach, Fla. for the Andre Dawson Classic where it will face Prairie View A&M, Southern and Grambling State. Charleston also looks to build on a 4-0 start as it hosts Youngstown State. Coming off three straight victories against nationally ranked foes, Campbell entertains Ohio University. Stony Brook heads to the Bayou and will meet No. 3 LSU twice over the weekend, while Northeastern has a pair of games against Big Ten opponent Minnesota in Florida.
 
Softball | Schedule
Weather caused alterations to the schedules of nearly half the conference last weekend, but there is no time to sulk with over 50 games on the docket Thursday through Sunday. Charleston returns home to host the Cougar Classic, with all five games on FloSoftball. UNCW and Campbell will also host Invitationals over the weekend. The Seahawks opening game against George Mason on Friday (6 p.m.) will be available on FloSoftball, and four games of the Camel Stampede will be on the Campbell varsity radio network. Teams hitting the road with big weekends ahead include Delaware, Elon and Monmouth. The Blue Hens will face Iowa State and Virginia twice in Charlottesville, with both games against the Cavilers on ACC Network Extra. Meanwhile, the Phoenix face No. 6 Duke (ACCNX), Michigan State and Boston University - who is receiving votes in the national polls - at the Duke Invitational. Finally, the Hawks will face a nationally ranked adversary in No. 15 Kentucky at the Wings ETC Classic hosted by USC Upstate.
 
Women’s Lacrosse | Schedule
Four straight days of women’s lacrosse start out Thursday with Towson making a visit to No. 3 James Madison (5 p.m., ESPN+) before a two-game Friday slate highlighted by No. 11 Stony Brook’s visit from Arizona State (11 a.m., FloLive). A four-game Saturday schedule starts out strong as Hofstra welcomes in Fairfield (12 p.m., FloLive) following the Stags’ ousting of nationally ranked UConn last week. A pair of teams off to 3-1 starts are in action, as Elon hosts Coastal Carolina (1 p.m., FloLive) on Saturday while Delaware is back in action on Sunday with a visit from Kent State (12 p.m., DSN, FloLive).
 
Men’s Lacrosse | Schedule
After four mid-week games in CAA Men’s Lacrosse, Towson opens the weekend – looking for its third straight victory – visiting Saint Joseph’s in a standalone contest on Friday at 4 p.m. (ESPN+). Both the Tigers and Hawks received votes in the latest USILA Coaches poll. No. 14 Delaware also faces an opponent receiving votes in the national polls. The Blue Hens look for a 3-0 start to the spring with a road tilt against Penn at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Another highlight on the weekend schedule includes Drexel hosting UAlbany (12 p.m.) for its home opener as part of the CAA Game of the Week package on Lacrosse TV.
 
Tennis | Schedule
Conference matchups highlight the Saturday slate in CAA women’s tennis as Elon hosts Hampton, Monmouth entertains Stony Brook and UNCW travels to Towson. On Friday, William & Mary takes on No. 44 VCU. On the men’s side, No. 45 Delaware meets unbeaten Monmouth and Elon welcomes Hampton in CAA action on Saturday. Campbell and Elon will both travel to No. 17 NC State, UNCW heads to Atlanta to take on No. 33 Georgia Tech and No. 58 Georgia State, and William & Mary is at home against No. 65 Dartmouth.
 
Golf | Schedule
In men’s action, Campbell and William & Mary will be in Raleigh for the Wolfpack Invitational, Delaware opens the spring in Arizona for the Loyola Intercollegiate, North Carolina A&T will take part in the Arcis HBCU Championship in Florida, and UNCW heads to the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate with Louisiana the host.
 
In women’s competition, Delaware heads to Macon for Mercer’s event, Elon is in Charleston for the Rivertowne Invitational, North Carolina A&T will play the Bright’s Creek Club Invitational, and UNCW is in Arizona for an event hosted by Wisconsin.
