Katie Sullivan are the winners of the CAA Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards presented by Primis for the week ending February 25.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ellie Masera, Stony Brook
Senior | Midfield | Eastport, N.Y. / Eastport-South Manor
Masera unleashed an incredible week for No. 12 Stony Brook with 11 goals, six assists, and 17 draw controls in wins over Bryant and Arizona State. The senior from Long Island tallied five goals, one assist, and seven draws in Tuesday’s 17-3 rout of Bryant before compiling six goals, five assists, and 10 draws in Friday morning’s 20-9 win over Arizona State. Masera is averaging 6.33 goals, 9.00 points, and 7.67 draws/game through her first three contests of the year.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Levy anchored a Stony Brook defense that limited Bryant and Arizona State to 6.0 goals and 12.0 shots/game in a 2-0 week. The senior from Long Island tallied two ground balls, two caused turnovers, three draws, and a goal while holding Bryant to three goals and nine shots Tuesday and followed with two ground balls, a caused turnover, seven draws, and a goal while limiting Arizona State to nine goals Friday. Both opponents were held more than nine goals below their season averages entering the contests.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Katie Sullivan, Monmouth
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Gainesville, Va. / Patriot
Sullivan made her first two career starts in Monmouth’s 1-1 week, making 17 stops against No. 24 Rutgers and 10 in the Hawks’ win over Columbia. The freshman from Northern Virginia recorded a .540 save percentage on the week and helped Monmouth close out a one-goal win on Saturday after losing a defender to a red card with three minutes remaining.
