Annie Wu are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending February 27.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Arsit Areephun, Delaware
Sophomore | Chiang Rai, Thailand / Samakkhi Wittayakhom
Areephun tied for second among 116 players at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Arizona. The sophomore from Thailand was 12-under (67-65-72) with his 132 over the first two rounds a Delaware record for 36 holes. The 204 over three is tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history. Areephun carded 18 birdies in the tournament with 16 in the opening two rounds.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Mallory Fobes, UNCW
Graduate Student | East Bend, N.C. / Forbush
Fobes went toe-to-toe with challenging competition at the Westbrook Invitational, tying for sixth at 11-under. The graduate student from North Carolina was under par in all three rounds (68-69-68) to finish three off the lead in the 77-player field. Fobes' 205 and -11 set new UNCW program records. The top seven teams in competition rank in the top 75 nationally.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Annie Wu, Elon
Sophomore | Taichung, Taiwan
Wu earns a share of the honor for the second time in three weeks after winning the Rivertowne Invitational in Charleston. The sophomore from Taiwan was 4-under (70-72-70) to collect medalist honors and help Elon to a third-place team result.
