RICHMOND, Va. (March 14, 2024) – The league slate starts out in a handful of CAA sports as the first CAA Championships of the spring loom less than a month away.
Baseball | Schedule
The final weekend of non-league play arrives with three CAA teams – No. 21 Campbell, N.C. A&T, and Northeastern – ranked or receiving votes in the national polls. Those three will be home at least once this weekend, with the Camels welcoming in Valparaiso, Northeastern playing a home-and-home with Rhode Island, and N.C. A&T hosting George Mason in a three-game set. Other weekend action includes top-100 opponents for Delaware in a three-game home series against Rutgers, UNCW in a weekend trip to Charlotte, and Stony Brook in a series in New Jersey against Seton Hall.
Softball | Schedule
The second weekend of the conference schedule begins with three teams – UNCW, Campbell, and Elon – coming off weekend sweeps. Two of those teams will meet for three games in Wilmington when Elon takes a trip out I-40. Campbell will host Towson, Stony Brook visits Charleston – a series that includes this week’s FloSoftball Social Media Game of the Week on Saturday – Drexel is at Hofstra, Delaware is at N.C. A&T, and Hampton visits Monmouth for a series that begins Friday morning on the Jersey Shore.
Women’s Lacrosse | Schedule
Eight of nine teams open conference play with a Saturday schedule highlighted by a Championship rematch. That game will be in Towson, where No. 12 Stony Brook’s last visit to Tiger Field ended by hoisting a CAA trophy in May. Hofstra visits league newcomer Campbell, Monmouth is at Elon, and Delaware – 7-1 in the non-conference – heads up to Drexel to face a challenging start to league play. William & Mary will have the bye from league play and host Longwood on Sunday; all five games can be seen on FloLive.
Men’s Lacrosse | Schedule
Four CAA teams open league play Saturday with the matchups accompanied by a quality non-league docket. Fairfield hosts Hofstra and Drexel welcomes Towson in CAA clashes, while No. 20 Delaware takes on No. 6 Syracuse in Chantilly, Va., No. 17 North Carolina heads to Stony Brook in the LacrosseTV Game of the Week, and Monmouth visits Villanova. Rowing | Schedule
UConn will compete twice in the Sunshine State with events Friday at UCF and Saturday at Stetson, Monmouth opens the spring facing Old Dominion and Saint Joseph’s in Norfolk, and UC San Diego will compete in Sacramento State’s Hornet Invitational.
Tennis | Schedule
The week begins with four CAA Men’s Tennis teams – Delaware, Monmouth, Drexel, and William & Mary – in the ITA Top 75. The weekend’s schedule includes three conference matchups on the women’s side from Friday-Sunday, as Charleston hosts William & Mary, Delaware gets a visit from Stony Brook, and Drexel welcomes Hofstra; in men’s league action, UNCW hosts William & Mary. In the non-conference, the Campbell men take on No. 4 Wake Forest on Sunday.
Golf | Schedule
A CAA Women’s Golf Champion will be crowned one month from this writing as preparations heat up for a return to St. James. League newcomer Campbell will play an event this weekend at Florida State along with Delaware, while N.C. A&T will play the Gulf Shores Beach Bash.
On the men’s side, Campbell is in Georgia Southern’s tournament, while Charleston and UNCW play Coastal Carolina’s event.
