RICHMOND, Va. (March 14, 2024) – Drexel senior Drue Nicholas and Charleston junior Emma Schimpf are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending March 12.
 
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Drue Nicholas, Drexel
Senior | Egg Harbor Township, N.J. / St. Augustine
Nicholas tied for fourth at the Peoples Championship at Sea Palms Resort while helping Drexel to a second-place finish. The senior from South Jersey shot 5-under in the event shortened to 36 holes by rain, carding an opening-round 69 and following with a 68. Nicholas has shot par or better in seven straight rounds. Nicholas is Golfer of the Week for the second time in 2023-24.
 
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Emma Schimpf, Charleston
Junior | Daniel Island, S.C. / Oceanside Collegiate
Schimpf tied for 11th at Briar’s Creek against a field that featured 13 Power 5 programs. The junior from South Carolina rebounded from an opening-round 80 to card a 66 and 70 to close the event. Schimpf is the seventh Cougar to win Women’s Golfer of the Week honors this season; the honor is Schimpf’s second of 2023-24.
