Softball |
Schedule
Conference play continues with six CAA series this weekend, including three matchups that feature teams coming off series wins last week. First, UNCW – unbeaten in league play – visits Towson, who earned a series win at Campbell this past week. The Seahawks swept TU in 2023 and are 8-2 against the Tigers in the past 10. Next, Stony Brook hosts Delaware after both teams earned series sweeps over the weekend. The Blue Hens went 3-1 against SBU last season, sweeping the regular season series, but the Seawolves ended Delaware’s season, knocking them out of the CAA Tournament. Finally, Hofstra travels to Monmouth. The Pride took two of three from the Hawks last season.
Women’s Lacrosse | Schedule
The second weekend of CAA play will be one of two on a Friday/Sunday schedule with the new eight-game round-robin. Friday’s four-game slate opens with a day game on the Shore between Towson and Monmouth (1 p.m.) and follows with three evening contests. The lone matchup of teams who enter the weekend at 1-0 in league play comes on the North Shore of Long Island, where the top two draw units in the league square off when No. 14 Stony Brook hosts Elon (6:31 p.m.). Drexel aims to improve to 2-0 when the Dragons host Campbell, as does Hofstra as it faces William & Mary in the Tribe’s CAA opener.
Sunday’s four games will all be in the afternoon, as Elon heads from Suffolk to Nassau to face Hofstra, Delaware returns from a bye by hosting Towson, Stony Brook welcomes Campbell and Monmouth hosts William & Mary. All eight games this weekend can be seen on FloLive.
