TOWSON, Md. (March 29, 2024) – Towson University's Mikey Weisshaar has been honored as a 2024 Inside Lacrosse (IL) Second Team Midseason All-American, announced by the publication on Friday.

IL placed three midfielders on each the first, second and third teams.  Weisshaar being placed on the second team put Weisshaar as one of the top-six midfielders in the country through this point in the season. The IL Midseason All-Americans are selected by voters in the weekly IL media poll.

Weisshaar is the first Tiger to land on the IL Midseason All-America list since Koby Smith was Honorable Mention Midseason All-America in 2021.  Three Tigers, Zach Goodrich, Koby Smith and Alex Woodall, were all IL Midseason All-Americans in 2019 with Goodrich on the First Team and Smith and Woodall on the Second Team.

The sophomore midfielder from Arnold, Maryland is Towson's leading goal-scorer with 26, adding 11 assists for 37 points on the year.  He has had five games with at least three goals and seven games with at least three points, including a pair of consecutive five-goal games vs. UMBC on March 2 and then-No. 2 Virginia on March 9.
