Apple Ngamwong are the CAA golf weekly award winners for tournaments ending March 5.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Max Dupree, Charleston
Senior | Greensboro, Ga. / Gatewood Schools
Dupree tied for sixth against a competitive leaderboard at the Wake Forest Invitational. The senior from Georgia was 3-over (72-71-70) on the par-70 Pinehurst No. 2 against competitors from No. 1 Auburn, No. 15 ETSU, No. 23 Duke, and a handful of ACC, Big Ten, and SEC teams. Dupree is Golfer of the Week for the second time this season after sharing the opening honor of the spring.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Adrian Anderson, Charleston
Sophomore | Murrells Inlet, S.C. / St. James
Anderson battled five of the nation’s top 25 teams along with rain and lightning to finish in the top 15 at the Gators Invitational. The sophomore from South Carolina was 2-over (72-72-68) on the par-70 Mark Bostick Golf Course against competition that included No. 10 Florida, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 15 Clemson, No. 16 UCF, No. 17 Arizona. The honor is the second this season for Anderson and the league-leading sixth for Charleston.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Apple Ngamwong, Elon
Senior | Bangkok, Thailand / Wentworth College
Ngamwong was the runner-up at the River Landing Classic against competition that included three league foes. The senior from Thailand carded a final-round 71 to finish at 1-over (72-74-71) and help Elon to a second-place finish behind James Madison and ahead of a group that included CAA members Towson, UNCW, and North Carolina A&T. Ngamwong is Elon’s fourth CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week recipient this season.
