Drexel’s Cuocco Added to Tewaaraton Watch List

WASHINGTON (March 7, 2024) – Drexel women’s lacrosse goalkeeper
Jenika Cuocco was selected to the first round of additions for the Tewaaraton watch list, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced Thursday.
Cuocco is the third CAA women’s lacrosse player selected to the 2024 watch list, joining Stony Brook’s
Ellie Masera and
Kailyn Hart.
Cuocco, a redshirt sophomore from Long Island, ranks second in the nation in save percentage (.575), third in saves/game (12.17), and 19
th in goals-against average (9.00) for a Drexel team that began the week receiving votes in both national polls. The Dragons are 4-2 with top-25 victories over Penn State and Navy; Drexel has played four ranked opponents in its first six contests and will face a Fairfield squad receiving votes in both polls Saturday in Connecticut.
Cuocco was the CAA’s Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Year in 2023 while helping Drexel to an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Dragons are 16-8 in Cuocco’s two years in goal in Philadelphia.
