Exilhomme Advances to Compete for National Title in 60-Meter Hurdles

RESULTS

BOSTON, Mass. (March 8, 2024)
– Northeastern junior hurdler Ethan Exilhomme will compete for the National title in the 60m hurdles following his semifinal performance at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday evening at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. 
 
Additionally, Hampton freshman Leo Davis and North Carolina A&T sophomore Jason Holmes concluded the indoor season in Boston on Friday.
 
Exilhomme automatically qualified for the finals by finishing second in the first heat of the men’s 60m hurdles. The junior ran a blazing 7.65 – the second fastest time of his career – trailing only Texas Tech’s Caleb Dean by four one-hundredths of a second in the section. The time was the fifth-fastest overall, and Exilhomme will return to compete in the finals tomorrow at 4:40 p.m.  
 
Holmes, the CAA Champion in the 60m hurdles, finished 12th overall to collect Second Team All-America accolades. In his NCAA Championship debut, Holmes ran 7.74, posting his sixth mark under 7.80 this winter. 
 
Davis made his NCAA Championship debut, and ran 1:52.98 to earn Second Team All-America honors in the 800m. The freshman finished eighth in section two of the 800m and 15th overall in the competition. 
 
ESPN+ will stream the championships live, starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern time on Saturday, March 9. There will be a re-air of the championships at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, March 11, on ESPNU.
