RICHMOND, Va. (April 15, 2024) – The CAA has announced its men’s lacrosse weekly awards for the week beginning on April 8 and ending on April 14. Towson graduate attackman Nick DeMaio and Delaware senior attackman JP Ward shared CAA Offensive Player of the Week accolades. In addition, Delaware senior goalkeeper Kevin Ellington earned his second straight CAA Defensive Player of the Week honor, and Fairfield freshman long-stick midfielder Julian Radossich collected his second CAA Rookie of the Week award this spring.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick DeMaio, Towson
Graduate | Attack | San Diego, Calif. / Coronado
DeMaio tallied a game-high seven points, recording five goals and two assists, as Towson improved to 5-0 in CAA play and clinched a CAA Tournament berth with a victory over Hampton. The graduate attackman gave Towson the lead at the end of the first quarter, and the Tigers never looked back. DeMaio added four goals and two helpers in the second quarter, notching all seven points in the first half. He also scooped up two ground balls in the effort. It marks his fourth game with at least seven points this season, while the five goals are a season-high and his most since May 5, 2022.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JP Ward, Delaware
Senior | Attack | Owings Mills, Md. / McDonogh School
Ward matched a season-high with seven points on two goals and five assists, leading the Blue Hens to a victory over Stony Brook to secure a 5-0 start to league play and a CAA Championship berth. The senior attackman assisted on the opening goal of the game and registered five helpers with one goal in the first 35 minutes as Delaware opened a 12-1 lead. Ward added one tally in the fourth and collected one ground ball in the effort. With his performance, the senior became the third Blue Hen in program history to reach 100 goals and assists in his career. The five helpers also tied a season-high for Ward, who notched his eighth multi-goal game this spring.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kevin Ellington, Delaware
Senior | Goalkeeper | Bel Air, Md. / Loyola Blakefield
Ellington recorded a career-high 21 saves and posted a .636 save percentage between the pipes in Delaware’s 16-12 victory over Stony Brook. The 21 saves match the most in a game by a CAA student-athlete this season and are the fifth-most in the NCAA. Ellington limited the Seawolves to one goal in the opening 35:45, including seven saves in the first half. The senior faced 33 shots in the second half and turned away 14 shots to preserve the win for the Blue Hens. It marks his second 20-save effort this season and fifth performance with a save percentage of .600 or better.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Julian Radossich, Fairfield
Freshman | LSM | Ridgewood, N.J. / Delbarton
Radossich played a key role in Fairfield’s 11-10 victory over Monmouth, recording his first career goal, matching a season-high with five ground balls and causing two turnovers. The freshman long-stick midfielder tallied three ground balls, and one caused turnover in the first half as Fairfield opened a 6-4 advantage. Tied 6-6 in the third, Radossich netted a pole goal to give the Stags a lead they would not relinquish, adding two ground balls and one caused turnover after the break. The goal sparked a 5-1 run to secure the victory for Fairfield. Radossich has caused multiple turnovers in six of the past seven games and nine times this spring.
