UNCW's Huens Selected As Most Outstanding Player At CAA Men's Tennis Championship

RICHMOND, Va. (April 24, 2024) – UNCW junior
Harold Huens was selected as the Most Outstanding Player at the 2024 CAA Men’s Tennis Championship after helping lead the Seahawks to their fourth straight conference title.
Huens compiled a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles and a 3-0 mark while teaming with Reece Falck at No. 1 doubles.
In singles, the junior beat William & Mary’s Satchel Benn, 6-0, 6-0, in the semifinals, and battled past Elon’s Veljko Krstic, 6-4, 6-2, in the finals to clinch the title for UNCW. He was leading Charleston’s Mattia Bernardi, 7-6 (4), 4-2, in the quarterfinals when the match was halted.
In doubles, Huens and Falck blanked Charleston’s Matias Gaedenchens and Diego Rojas Mora, 6-0, in the quarterfinals, edged William & Mary’s Bill Duo and Konstantino Raptis, 7-5, in the semifinals to clinch the doubles point against the Tribe, and defeated Elon’s Ben Zipay and Juan Sengariz, 6-3.
Huens improved to 11-5 in singles this season, while he and Falck are 16-3 in doubles.
