Korczynski, McBride Earn All-America Honors At NCAA Track & Field Championship

EUGENE, Ore. (June 7, 2024) – Northeastern graduate distance runner
Alexander Korczynski earned first-team All-American honors with an eighth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase on Friday evening at the NCAA Track & Field Championship at Historic Hayward Field.

C.J. McBride received second-team All-America accolades following a 10
th-place performance in the high jump. McBride cleared the bar at 2.17m (7-1.5), matching his leap during the NCAA East Regionals.
Korczynski shattered his own conference record with a time of 8:29.42 in the finals of the event after posting a record-mark of 8:33.13 in Wednesday’s opening round. He is the first CAA student-athlete to ever compete in the finals of the steeplechase at the NCAA Championship.
Korczynski placed 22
nd in the steeplechase at the NCAA Championship in 2021 before a 15
th-place performance in 2022.
McBride was making his first appearance at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. He was among four jumpers who were tied for seventh at 2.17m.
