KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 13, 2024) – Stony Brook men’s soccer senior Jonas Bickus was named to United Soccer Coaches’ preseason watch list for forwards, the coaches association announced Tuesday.

Bickus has earned All-CAA second team honors in each of the last two seasons after collecting America East Rookie of the Year accolades in 2021. The Lithuanian has led Stony Brook in goals in each of the last two seasons with six as a sophomore in 2022 and eight as a junior in 2023. Bickus recorded a brace in conference wins over Delaware and UNCW in 2023.

Bickus joins Elon men’s midfielder Scott Vatne, Monmouth men’s defenders Olle Brorsson and Gabe Dahlin, along with reigning CAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year Lauren Bruno from Monmouth, who earned spots on the preseason lists for those positions announced last week.
