RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 22, 2024) – The 2024 CAA Soccer season kicks into full gear with over three dozen non-conference games over the upcoming week.
Women’s Soccer | Schedule
The second week of the CAA women’s soccer season is highlighted by high-major opportunities against teams ranked or receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Thursday’s nine-game slate will include two teams hosting ACC opponents, as Delaware welcomes No. 21 Virginia Tech and Campbell hosts NC State. Both contests will be on FloFC at 7 p.m., with six of Thursday’s nine women’s soccer games on the platform, including William & Mary’s battle with local foe and defending Sun Belt champion Old Dominion (7 p.m., FloFC).
Hofstra will be home on Friday to host Columbia, an NCAA tournament team from a year ago (2 p.m., FloFC) before a great 12-game docket on Sunday. No. 21 Virginia Tech crosses the Delaware Memorial Bridge following Thursday’s game in Newark and faces Monmouth on the Jersey Shore (1 p.m., FloFC). Charleston heads to South Carolina - receiving votes in this week’s coaches poll - in one of seven Sunday night contests (7 p.m., SECN+)
Men’s Soccer | Schedule
The 2024 men’s soccer season kicks off Thursday with eight games. Delaware will play the first game of the year at 2 p.m. when the Blue Hens host Howard (FloFC) and Stony Brook heads in to Nassau County to play LIU (4 p.m., NEC Front Row) before an action-packed evening slate. Drexel is at Marquette (5:30 p.m., FloFC), Charleston visits Coastal Carolina (7 p.m., ESPN+), Northeastern goes down to Rutgers (7 p.m., B1G+), and UNCW is at Furman (8 p.m., ESPN+). Elon (vs. FGCU) and Hofstra (vs. Fordham) will open at home with 7 p.m. games on FloFC.
Campbell and Monmouth will open their 2024 campaigns on Friday, as the Camels host Radford and the Hawks take on Fairfield; both games are at 7 p.m. on FloFC.
Sunday’s four-game schedule begins with Drexel’s second game in Wisconsin, heading to Madison to play the Badgers (1 p.m., B1G+) before evening games for Hofstra, Campbell, and Stony Brook. Delaware visits Rutgers (7 p.m., B1G+) and Elon hosts Radford on Monday, while Northeastern takes on Boston University on Tuesday and William & Mary opens its season at Binghamton on Wednesday.
