Elon’s Vatne Named to United Soccer Coaches Midfielder Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 9, 2024) – Elon men’s soccer senior
Scott Vatne was named to United Soccer Coaches’ preseason watch list for midfielders, the coaches association announced Friday.
Vatne is a two-time All-CAA first-team selection and earned a spot on the Hermann Trophy Watch List a year ago. The Norwegian has tallied 12 points in each of the last two years with three goals and a team-high six assists in 2022 before four goals and four assists in 2023. Vatne has earned All-Atlantic Region distinction in the last two campaigns.
Vatne joins Monmouth men’s defenders
Olle Brorsson and
Gabe Dahlin, along with reigning CAA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year
Lauren Bruno from Monmouth, who earned spots on the preseason defender lists released by United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday,
