Madison Synowiec was selected as the Women’s Runner of the Week, while Hofstra junior
Abraham Longosiwa was honored as the Men’s Runner of the Week.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Madison Synowiec, Elon
Grad Student | Salisbury, Md.
Synowiec took individual gold in the Elon Opener as the Phoenix rolled to a first-place team finish with seven of the top eight runners. The grad student captured the 4K event with a time of 14:02.8, edging three teammates by .01 seconds.
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Abraham Longosiwa, Hofstra
Junior | Eldoret, Kenya
Longosiwa opened the season by taking the individual title at the LIU Fall Festival, helping the Pride to a first-place team finish. The junior posted a time of 23:49.72 in the 8K race, which was more than two minutes ahead of his closest competitor.
