Halle Geiger are the CAA field hockey weekly award winners for the week ending September 1.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kenzie Lever, Drexel
Senior| Midfield/Forward | Doylestown, Pa. / Central Bucks East
Lever’s two second-half goals were enough to power Drexel past Sacred Heart and overcome an early deficit for a 2-1 win. The senior finished her weekend with five shots and three on goal, earning four points.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jessie Eiselin, Monmouth
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Amsterdam, Netherlands / Montessori Lyceum Rotterdam
Eiselin earned a 5-1 victory in Monmouth’s game Saturday opener against Lehigh. The 2024 NFHCA Division I Watchlist selection recorded 10 saves on 11 shots on goal in the victory. This became the sophomore goalkeeper’s third career game tallying double digit saves.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Halle Geiger, Drexel
Freshman | Goalkeeper| Townsend, Del. / Smyrna
Geiger earned her first career start on Friday in a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart. The freshman from Delawaremade four saves en route to victory for the Dragons. Geiger remained between the posts for Drexel on Sunday, recording three saves against No. 4Maryland.
