CAA Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards – Sep. 2, 2024

RICHMOND, Va. (Sep. 2, 2024) – Elon graduate student Victor Stromsten, Elon senior Tomasz Wroblewski, and UNCW freshman Viktor Engh are the CAA men’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending September 1.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Victor Stromsten, Elon
Graduate Student | Forward | Stockholm, Sweden / Hersby Gymnasium
Stromsten’s hat trick lead the way for the Phoenix in their 5-0 victory over Radford on Monday night. The graduate student buried two goals in the first 71 seconds of the match and provided another goal and assist to lead Elon to victory. Stromsten chipped in with another helper in Thursday night’s matchup against Coastal Carolina. The Swede finished the week with eight points.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tomasz Wroblewski, Elon
Senior | Goalkeeper | Warsaw, Poland
Wroblewski recorded two shutouts in an unbeaten weekend between the posts for Elon. The Polish goalkeeper collected a pair of saves in the Phoenixes 5-0 win against Radford in a 90-minute performance. Wroblewski rounded out his week with three saves in another shutout victory over Coastal Carolina.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Viktor Engh, UNCW
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Billingstad, Norway
Engh held strong in goal this past week for UNCW, earning a shutout in the 1-0 victory over American. The freshman tallied nine saves in his first career shutout.
