Monmouth 56, Towson 54

Tied heading into the fourth quarter, Monmouth (7-7, 2-1) weathered a late 5-0 run to defeat Towson (3-11, 1-2) 56-54.
Off the back of a career-high 22 points and eight rebounds from Monmouth’s Belle Kranbuhl, the Hawks earned their second victory in a row. Monmouth put on a strong performance in the paint, scoring 42 of its 56 points from the post, including shooting a game-high 60% from the field in the fourth. Knotted at 41 at the start of the final frame, both teams traded blows before a three-pointer from Ella Farrelly with 3:32 to go ultimately sealed the game. Towson freshman Khady Leye flirted with a double-double, collecting nine rebounds with 11 points.
Elon 59, Hampton 51

A nine-point fourth quarter from Jayda Angel stretched Elon’s (8-6, 2-1) win streak to two-straight games with a 59-51 win over Hampton (4-10, 0-3).
Facing a 26-18 deficit heading into the second half, Hampton kept on the Phoenix heals, before taking its first lead of the game with 6:17 left in the contest. A three-pointer from Angel tied the game at 47, before four consecutive points from the freshman guard and two three-pointers from Laila Anderson (six points) extended Elon’s lead to five with 1:19 to go. Jasha Clinton and Le’Asia Foreman (11 points) hit double digits for Hampton, combining for 24 points.
Charleston 64, Hofstra 51

Exceeding her season-high point tally for a third straight game, McKinley Brooks-Sumpter tallied 18 points and led Charleston (12-2, 3-0) to a 64-51 victory over Hofstra (7-7, 2-1).
Charleston took over the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Pride 20-6. Down by as much as nine in the frame, the Cougars went on a run jumpstarted by five quick points from Taryn Barbot. Charleston entered the second half up nine and kept its foot on the gas with a 5-1 run in the third, all stemming from Brooks-Sumpter who ended the quarter with seven points. Hofstra’s Ramatoulaye Keita had a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
N.C. A&T 65, Delaware 49

N.C. A&T (7-7, 3-0) held Delaware (3-10, 0-3) scoreless from the field in the fourth quarter to seal a 65-49 victory and a third consecutive conference win.
The Aggies held a 40-34 advantage heading into the fourth quarter before outscoring UD by 10 in the fourth quarter earned A&T its third conference victory by over 16 points. Looking to extend its six-point lead, Maleia Bracone got the ball rolling quickly for the Aggies knocking down a jumper within the first thirty seconds. The bucket was the catalyst for an 8-3 run by A&T, while defensively, the Aggies did not allow Delaware to score a single field goal in the fourth, going 0-8 and 0-4 from deep. A&T’s Jordyn Dorsey scored 15+ points for the eighth time this season. Delaware’s Tara Cousins led the way with 15 points.
Stony Brook 66, William & Mary 48

A near double double from Janay Brantley propelled Stony Brook (7-7, 2-1) past William & Mary (4-10, 1-2) 66-48.
The Seawolves got off to a hot start as Brantley knocked down two three pointers to give Stony Brook a 9-2 lead within the first four minutes of action. Dallysshya Moreno helped extend the lead, scoring six consecutive points to close out the quarter before Breauna Ware’s three with 49 seconds left in the first frame. With the help of 18 points and eight rebounds from Brantley, Stony Brook held onto the lead for the remainder of the game to earn it’s second conference win. Bella Nascimento scored a team-high 14 points for William & Mary.
