CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Jan. 14

RICHMOND, Va. (January 14, 2025) - Drexel juniors Sebastian Smith and Megan Ehrnfeldt received CAA swimming weekly awards, while Delaware juniors Kevin Siegfried and Alex Pastris garnered CAA diving weekly honors.
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Sebastian Smith, Jr., Drexel (Wappingers, N.Y.)
Smith was involved in setting four pool records to help lead Drexel past Delaware, 159.5-140.5 last Saturday. The junior broke his own mark while winning the 50 free in a time of 20.31, and set a new standard in the 100 free with a first-place time of 44.42. Smith was also a member the Dragons’ 200 medley relay team (1:29.57) and 400 freestyle relay team (2:59.80) that turned in record-breaking efforts.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Megan Ehrnfeldt, Jr., Drexel (Leesport, Pa.)
Ehrnfeldt posted four first-place finishes as Drexel edged Delaware, 150-144, last Saturday. The junior took the top spot in the100 fly with a time of 55.99 and claimed the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.43. She was also part of the Dragons’ winning 200 medley relay team (1:45.39) and 400 freestyle relay team (3:30.15).
CAA Men’s Diver of the Week
Kevin Siegfried, Jr., Delaware (Chalfont, Pa.)
Siegfried took the top spot on the 1-meter board with a score of 315.98 in Delaware’s meet at Drexel last Saturday. The junior placed fourth in the 3-meter competition with a score of 267.23.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Alex Pastris, Jr., Delaware (Broomall, Pa.)
Pastris swept both boards in Delaware’s meet at Drexel last Saturday. The junior compiled a score of 285.30 to claim the 3-meter competition and placed first in the 1-meter competition with a score of 256.35.
