RICHMOND, Va. – Drexel’s Jenika Cuocco, Elon’s MJ Santa Barbara and Stony Brook’s Avery Hines and Charlotte Wilmoth were named women's lacrosse Preseason All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine on Wednesday.

Cuocco, a 2024 Second Team All-American, landed on the preseason Second Team following a stellar campaign in net for the Dragons. One of the nation’s top goalies last year, Cuocco helped Drexel to a 13-6 record and a berth in its fourth straight NCAA Tournament. The New York product finished atop the national leaderboard with a .569 save percentage and 224 saves. The reigning two-time CAA Goalkeeper of the Year ranked second in the country with 11.94 saves per game and eighth with a 9.05 goals-against average.

Hines joined Cuocco as a Preseason Second Team All-American after leading Stony Brook on the backline in 2024. Instrumental to the team’s 18-3 record and second-straight CAA Championship, the Maryland native was vital in the Seawolves limiting opponents to 8.1 goals per game, good for second in the country. Hines finished the slate ranked fourth in the nation with 3.14 caused turnovers per game, seeing her 66 total CTs set the CAA record for most in a single season. Hines will bolster the defensive core for her senior year as the Seawolves enter the 2025 season ranked No. 14 in the nation.

Santa Barbara, 2024 CAA Rookie of the Year and All-CAA First Team selection, earned an honorable mention nod following one of the best seasons by a Division I freshman last year. The Guilford, Conn., product broke the program and conference records with 151 draw controls last season. Her 8.88 draw controls per game paced all first-year players and ranked seventh overall in the nation. The midfielder also broke Elon's single-game draw control record with 15 in the team’s 16-13 win over Monmouth. Santa Barbara also chipped in two goals for the Phoenix.

Wilmoth, a graduate transfer from UMass, earned an honorable mention accolade after securing an Atlantic 10 Second Team selection in 2024. The South Salem, N.Y., native was among the nation’s top 50 scorers with 3.06 goals per game (41st in NCAA), finishing with 55 in total.
