SPARKS, Md. (Jan. 22, 2025) – Three CAA Men’s Lacrosse student-athletes were named USA Lacrosse Division I Men’s Preseason All-Americans on Wednesday afternoon.
Towson junior midfielder Mikey Weisshaar, Fairfield sophomore defenseman Julian Radossich, and Delaware graduate student goalkeeper Kevin Ellington were recognized on the list.
Weisshaar, selected as a Third Team All-American member from USA Lacrosse last year, earned First Team preseason All-American honors. The junior midfielder scored 42 goals alongside 19 assists in his 17 starts for last season’s CAA Champions. Weisshaar was rewarded for his stellar season with All-CAA First Team honors, as well as being an Inside-Lacrosse Media First Team All-American, and a USILA Second Team All-American.
Radossich received honorable mention after leading the Stags’ defensive unit with 27 caused turnovers and 40 ground balls. The 2024 CAA Rookie of the Year’s caused turnover tally led the CAA, and set a single season record for Fairfield, alongside ranking him 19th nationally. Radossich was the only true freshman named to the All-CAA First Team.
Ellington was named an honorable mention pick after an incredible 2024 campaign. Earning 2024 CAA Defensive Player of the Year honors, the graduate student goalkeeper was the only shot-stopper in the country to finish the season top 10 in goals against average (9.60), save percentage (.590), and saves per game (13.36). Posting a 9-5 record with 187 saves, Ellington was an All-American Honorable Mention for both USA Lacrosse and USILA last season.
