UNCW's Thach Earns Preseason All-America Accolades From D1 Baseball

RICHMOND, Va. (January 22, 2025) – UNCW junior first baseman
Tanner Thach was honored on the D1 Baseball Preseason All-America second team on Wednesday.
Thach earned CAA Co-Player of the Year accolades in 2024 after batting .324 and breaking the CAA single-season record for home runs with 27. He drove in a team-high 75 runs and scored 59 in helping the Seahawks capture their second straight CAA championship and return to the NCAA Tournament for the 12
th time.
Thach was also named to the Perfect Game Preseason All-America first team in early January. He was joined on that squad by Stony Brook first baseman/pitcher
Erik Paulsen, who made the preseason All-America third team after batting .299 with four homers and 24 RBI’s, while going 2-1 with a team-high six saves and a 3.21 ERA in 2024.
