RICHMOND, Va. (October 14, 2025) – UNCW junior William Carrico repeated as CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week and UNCW senior Cameron Snowden was honored as CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week after they combined for 11 victories in the Seahawks’ dominant performance against Gardner-Webb.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week
William Carrico, Jr., UNCW (Durham, N.H.)
Carrico repeats as Men’s Swimmer of the Week after posting five first-place finishes to help UNCW roll past Gardner-Webb last Saturday. The junior captured the 200 back (1:45.84) and 200 IM (1:47.63) and was part of the Seahawks’ winning teams in the 200 free, 800 free and 400 medley relays. He added a third-place effort in the 200 fly (1:48.50). Carrico’s times in the 200 back and 200 IM are the fastest in the CAA thus far.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Cameron Snowden, Sr., UNCW (Santa Clarita, Calif.)
Snowden, the 2024-25 CAA Swimmer of the Year, recorded six first-place finishes as UNCW cruised past Gardner-Webb last Saturday. The senior claimed the 50 free (23.14) and 100 fly (53.44) and was a member of the Seahawks’ winning teams in the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free and 800 free relays. Snowden’s times in the 50 free and 100 fly are the fastest in the CAA this season.
