Ryan Farr are the CAA men’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending on October 19.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Christian Acevedo, UNCW
Sophomore | Forward | Orlando, Fla. / Barca Residency Academy
Down 2-0 in the second half against Campbell, Acevedo’s first-career brace rallied UNCW to a 3-2 win. Equalizing the game within seven minutes, the Floridian forward moved his goal tally up to five on the campaign and set his season high for points in a game with four.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jaden Prado, Northeastern
Senior | Defender | New York, N.Y. / The Montfort Academy
Prado led a strong defensive week for Northeastern which saw the Huskies go 2-0. The senior defender lifted Northeastern to its first three points in conference play since Sept. 13 with a 1-0 win over Drexel. Prado anchored a backline that restricted the Dragons to just one shot on target through 90 minutes, while assisting the game winner. The New York resident also assisted the final goal in a 3-2 win over Boston U.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Farr, Stony Brook
Freshman | Forward | Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Northwood School
Farr netted the Seawolves' game winner in a 2-1 result over Monmouth. With the two teams deadlocked through 70 minutes, Farr found the go-ahead score to net his fourth of the season and second game-winner of his freshman campaign.
