Nora Green-Orset, split Defensive Player of the Week recognition on Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isa Murdock, Elon
Redshirt Junior | Forward | Colorado Springs, Colo.
Murdock scored six points in a 2-0 week for Elon, notching a pair of goals and two assists. The redshirt junior helped the Phoenix to a 4-1 victory over Drexel with a goal in the eighth minute and provided an assist on Talia Feigin’s goal in the 54th minute. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native followed up with another three-point performance in a 3-1 triumph against Towson on Sunday. After scoring the game’s first goal again, Murdock set up Grace Gelhaus for the eventual game-winner in the 55th minute.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Grace Gelhaus, Elon
Junior | Defender | Woodstock, Conn.
Gelhaus contributed offensively and defensively in a pair of victories this week for Elon. Against Drexel on Thursday, Gelhaus scored the game-winning goal in the first half and logged 52 minutes after starting in the 4-1 victory. Gelhaus then logged the full 90 minutes on Sunday for the Phoenix in a 3-1 win against Towson, scoring another game-winning goal and adding an assist on an Isa Murdock tally. Gelhaus now has goals in each of Elon's three straight conference victories, all of which have been game winners.
CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nora Green-Orset, William & Mary
Senior | Defender | Arlington, Va.
Green-Orset guided William & Mary to a pair of wins last week against Northeastern and Monmouth. The senior defender scored a goal, while also anchoring the backline in the Tribe's 3-0 win over the Huskies. The Arlington, Va., native provided stability on the backline again against the Hawks two days later, preventing Monmouth from putting a shot on target in 90 minutes of action to secure a 1-0 victory and clinch the Tribe’s spot in the CAA Women’s Soccer Championship.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ellie Leffler, William & Mary
Freshman | Forward | Mohnton, Pa.
Leffler registered her first career game-winning goal in the 78
th minute of Sunday’s 1-0 win over Monmouth. The freshman forward broke the scoreless tie by breaking down the left side and beating the keeper with a right-footed blast at the near post, leading the Tribe to a victory that clinched its spot in the CAA postseason.
