RICHMOND, Va. (October 21, 2025) – Outstanding performances in races featuring numerous ranked teams earned CAA cross country weekly awards for Perry Irons and Hayes Trapp of William & Mary and Katie Blount of Elon.
 
CO-WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Katie Blount, Elon
Junior | Atlanta, Ga.
Blount posted a fourth-place finish in a field of 154 runners at the Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, Va., covering the 6K course in 20.10.1. It was third top 10 finish in as many races for Blount, who set 5K and 6K school records in her other outings. Elon finished third in a strong 16-team field that included nationally ranked Virginia and NC State.
 
CO-WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Perry Irons, William & Mary
Senior | Philadelphia, Pa.
Irons recorded an eighth-place finish in a field of 270 runners at the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, N.J., finishing the 6K course in 20:10.7. Her time was the fastest 6K effort by a Tribe runner since 2015. Irons helped W&M placed 12th among 25 teams among a group that featured 18 regionally-ranked squads.
 
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Hayes Trapp, William & Mary
Junior | Aiken, S.C.
Trapp turned in a strong 14th place finish in a field of 318 runners at the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, N.J., completing the 8K course in 23:25. It was a career-best performance by Trapp and the fastest 8K time by a Tribe runner in over 15 years. William & Mary placed 19th as a team in an event that included three nationally ranked and 23 regionally ranked squads.
