CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Oct. 21

RICHMOND, Va. (October 21, 2025) – Drexel junior Theo Andreopoulos was selected as the CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Northeastern junior Mary Nordmann was chosen as the CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week and Huskies’ freshman Kailyn Aquino earned Women’s Diver of the Week honors.
CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week
Theo Andreopoulos, Jr. Drexel (Thermi, Greece)
Andreopoulos won three individual events and was part of a first-place relay team, helping Drexel roll past La Salle, 209-89, in its season-opener. The junior captured the 50 free with a time of 21.04, the 100 back with a time of 49.67 and the 200 back with a time of 1:49.74. All three times were the third-fastest in the CAA this season. Andreopoulos also was part of the Dragons’ winning 400 free relay team.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Mary Nordmann, Jr., Northeastern (The Woodlands, Texas)
Nordmann earned a pair of first-place finishes as Northeastern edged Rhode Island, 156-143. The junior touched the wall first in the 50 free with a time of 24.06 and also claimed the 100 fly with a time of 56.92. She was also a member of the Huskies’ 200 medley relay team that placed third.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Kailyn Aquino, Fr., Northeastern (Haverhill, Mass.)
Aquino placed third on the 1-meter board with a score of 256.35 in Northeastern’s victory over Rhode Island. The freshman also tallied 238.05 points to finish fourth in the 3-meter competition.
