RICHMOND, Va. (October 28, 2025) – Stony Brook swept the final CAA cross country weekly awards as senior Luca Maneri and sophomore Shaylen Gosler posted strong finishes at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Shaylen Gosler, Stony Brook
Sophomore | Pine Bush, N.Y.
Gosler claimed the individual title among a field of 44 runners in the varsity event at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. The sophomore covered the 3,000-meter course in a time of 9:44.29 and beat her nearest competitor by six seconds. Gosler was one of three Seawolves in the top eight as they placed second as a team.
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Luca Maneri, Stony Brook
Senior | Esopus, N.Y.
Maneri recorded a team-best seventh-place individual finish at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. The senior set a new personal best with a time of 15:02.36 on the 5,000-meter course. Maneri’s performance helped the Seawolves place third as a team in the event.
